My orals are tomorrow, Wednesday, at 3:30 pacific time. Oboy, oboy. I haven't been able to bring myself to feel nervous about it yet, but I feel the change coming on. Ugh.

I'm a novelist, scholar of postwar fiction, and ACLS New Faculty Fellow at Princeton University. I am currently working on a literary history that investigates changing countercultural conceptions of irony from Ralph Ellison to David Foster Wallace.
